Gower Peninsula just West of Swansea was designated the UK's first area of Outstanding Natural Beauty more than 45 years ago, and continues to attract visitors from around the world. A fifty year statutory
control on development has preserved the area.There are a few Dog Friendly beaches.

and dune banks - a diverse selection of habitats supporting a variety of flora and fauna. Gower Heritage
Centre is located in the village of Parkmill, only 15 minutes walk from Three Cliffs Bay.
Gower Heritage centre is based around an historic 800 year old water-powered corn and saw mill
complex with craft shops, and tea rooms.
The centre is child friendly with lots of activities for the little ones,
with a puppet theatre,fishpond and animal farm, and adventure playground. Open all year.
Admission is Adults £3.60. Senior citizens/children £2.50 ( children under 5yrs free)

From the East leave the M4 motorway at Jct 42 and follow brown tourist signs to South Gower and the A4067. From the West leave the M4 at Jct 47 and follow the A483 into Swansea and then follow the A4118 to Swansea airport.
